seen in an emergency, even if all appointments have been booked. |

seen within one working day should you have a medically urgent complaint.

appointment with a female doctor if desired. |
| 8. | Be
referred for a second opinion to a consultant acceptable to you if both you and
your GP agree this is desirable. |
| 9. | Appropriate
advice by the Primary Care Team regarding steps you may take to promote good health
and avoid illness, eg: smoking, exercise, diet, immunisation and on self help
if you have a minor ailment. |
| 10. | Be
retained on your doctor's list subject to accepting your own responsibilities
towards the practice and other patients. In the same way as a patient can choose
his doctor, the GPs reserve the right to accept or remove a patient from their
list if the patient does not feel able to meet their responsibilities. |
| 11. | A
reply to a written complaint within seven days and within one day if the matter
is urgent. Complaints should always be made to the practice manager. |
| 12. | Have
any suggestions you make to improve the service considered by the appropriate
team members and be given a response. |

| To
be courteous to our staff at all times; they are working under the doctors orders
in the best interest of all our patients. |
| 2. | To
call before 10.00am where possible for home visits to ensure we can plan our day
effectively to everyone's benefit. Please bear in mind that home
visits are extremely time consuming. They must be medically justifiable
and not requested for social convenience. |
| 3. | To
attend appointments on time; if you have to cancel, please let us know,
so that another patient can be offered
your appointment. |
| 4. | To
be realistic about the urgency for an appointment. |
| 5. | To
make out-of-hours calls (ie: evenings, nights and weekends) only if they
are absolutely necessary. Our doctors work very long hours during the day and
need their rest. |
| 6. | To give adequate notice (at least 48 hours) for your repeat prescription. |
| 7. | To
inform us if you change your name, address or telephone number as we may
need to contact you urgently. |
| 8. | To
enquire in the afternoon about the results of any tests and investigations
you may have had. |
