HOW DO I...
OBTAIN REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS?
THESE CAN NOW BE REQUESTED OVER THE TELEPHONE
Patients on regular treatment may be offered our repeat prescription service so that they may order drugs without having to see the doctor every time. This service is computerised for accuracy and you will receive a new request slip each time you use the service. Repeat prescriptions can be requested by using the collection box in reception, by post if you enclose a stamped addressed envelope or by telephoning the surgery between 9.30am and 12 noon or 2.30 and 5.00pm.
Please allow two working days for your request to be processed.
HOW DO I...
MAKE AN APPOINTMENT?
All routine consultations are by appointment. These may be made in person or by telephoning the medical centre. Half of the GP appointments are bookable on the day; the remainder can be booked up to two weeks
in advance. Appointments can also be made on-line; if you wish to use this facility please register at reception. The practice offers telephone consultations whereby your GP can call you at an approximate time on a given
day. These consultations can be booked in the normal way up to two weeks in advance.
Please inform us if you are unable to keep your appointment as they are in great demand and someone else could be seen in your place. We do our best to run to time but appointments sometimes take longer than expected and we ask you bear with us if you have to wait.
If a particular doctor is absent due to annual leave, study leave, sickness etc, then their duties will be performed by other partners; a locum doctor may also be used.
HOW DO I... OBTAIN A HOME VISIT?
Home visits will be made on medical grounds only. Please ring the medical centre before 10.30am. If your call is urgent you will be put through to the duty doctor who will take the necessary details. Home visits are normally carried out between 12 noon and 3.00pm.
HOW DO I...
MAKE A COMPLAINT?
We always try to give you the best services possible. If you feel you have a complaint or concern about a service provided, ask at reception for an information leaflet to help guide you through our practice complaints
procedure, which follows the NHS system for dealing with complaints and meets national criteria.
