Friends Of The Witterings Medical Centre

For over a past decade, the Friends of the Witterings Medical Centre have raised funds to purchase medical equipment for the medical centre. Anyone is welcome to become a ‘Friend’ by contacting the business/practice manager or the treasurer, Mr Ray Steer.

Manhood Mobility Voluntary Service

This is a group of volunteers who work within the medical centre providing transport for patients to and from hospital and also to and from the medical centre for a nominal sum. If anyone would be interested in joining this group please contact them at the medical centre.

Freedom Of Information – Publication Scheme

The Freedom of Information Act 2000 obliges the practice to produce a Publication Scheme. A Publication Scheme is a guide to the 'classes' of information the practice intends to routinely make available.

This scheme is available from reception.

Confidentiality

We protect and use patient information by implementing the recommendations of the Caldicott Committee's Report on the review of patient-identifiable information. The practice is registered under The Data Protection Act.

Zero Tolerance Policy

A zero tolerance policy towards violent, threatening and abusive behaviour is now in place throughout the National Health Service.

The staff in this practice have the right to do their work in an environment free from violent, threatening and abusive behaviour and everything will be done to protect that right.

At no time will any such behaviour be tolerated in this practice. If you do not respect the rights of our staff we may choose to inform the police and make arrangements for you to be removed from our medical list. Please ask at reception for a full explanation of our policy.
